What are your specific meal programs for seniors?

Our Café Meal Program is designed to give seniors a variety of nutritional options and is open to anyone age 60 and older. The daily special conforms to the USDA Daily Café Meal Program, are approved by a registered dietician and then prepared by our staff.

How much does the Café Meal Program cost?

For anyone 60 or older, the suggested donation of $3.00 per person helps cover the cost associated with the program. Those under the age of 60 are also welcome to dine with us for a fee of $5.00 per meal.

Where can I take advantage of the Café Meal Program?

Meals are available at Senior Services Plus, Inc. located at 2603 N. Rodgers in Alton, IL (7:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.) and then at the Hagnauer Township Hall located at 2060 Delmar in Granite City, IL (11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.).

What are my options other than the Café Meal Program?

SSP's School House grill is located at the Alton location (2603 N. Rodgers) and offers a selection including a daily special, a soup and salad bar, as well as a variety of grill options. The School House Grill is an option for any age and is open to the public.

When is the School House Grill open?

The School House Grill serves breakfast from 7:00 a.m. until. 1:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday and also serves lunch from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Monday thru Friday.

Who receives the proceeds from the School House Grill?

All proceeds from the School House Grill go directly to SSP's Meals On Wheels Program. Our goal is to end senior hunger.

What if I can't leave my work to eat lunch?

Monday thru Friday, the School House Grill has a separate delivery menu that can be delivered to your place of business (must be within a five-mile radius).

How much does it cost to have lunch delivered from the School House Grill?

We will deliver a minimum $10 order and add a $2.00 delivery fee to your total.

How do I place an order for lunch delivery?

To place a delivery order with the School House Grill, your order must be called or faxed in by 10:00 a.m. that day. Call 618-465-3298 ext 101 and ask for the kitchen, or fax your order to 618-462-6277.

What are my options for a private catering event?

We offer full service professional catering, with Catering Menu options from breakfast to dinner. No event is too big or too small. You can also choose to rent out affordable, spacious rooms at SSP for meetings, baby showers, retirement parties, and so much more!

Do I need to set up for my own event?

School House Grill caterers will deliver and set up for your event and provide professional and friendly service.

What is the required amount of notice for a catering order?

All orders must be placed at least 48-72 hours prior to delivery. Please note that advanced orders require more preparation and consultation time.
